Záhorská Nížina or better said its part Borská nížina is stretched in 70% of Dolné Záhorie region, Dolnomoravská floodplain and Záhorské pláňavy are smaller wholes belonging to Borská Nížina in western part of the area. Dolné Záhorie is geographically defined by Malacky district, with an area of 950 km2.
