First travelling exhibition

On Friday, March 18, 2011, the vernissage of the first travelling exhibition as part of the PALTOUR Project took place in the Malacky Castle. Among invited guests were the Mayor of the town of Malacky, Mr. Ondrejka, the Vice-Mayor, Mrs. Tedlová, the former Supervisor of the project, Mr. Bulla, the mayor of Marchegg, Mr. Haupt, the Mayor of the Bratislava municipal part Devínska Nová Ves, Mr. Jambor, representatives of partners from the Bratislava Self-Governing Unit and the Slovak National Museum of the Red Castle, the Mayor of Vysoká pri Morave, Mr. Dvoran, as well as the Mayor of Plavecké Podhradie, Mr. Kousal.

The guests were welcomed by Mrs. Búbelová from the Marketing Department. Short speeches were given by the Town Mayor and the Mayor of Marchegg. The Mayor provided the painting of the Pálfy coat of arms, given as a gift to Malacky by the town of Marchegg years ago, for the renewed castle. The presentation of the PALTOUR Project and of the newly founded Regional Centre of Destination Management followed. The Centre will continue to build on the cross-border cooperation between the regions of Lower Záhorie and Lower Austria. Music of the string duo of Mrs. Zaicová and Mr. Brna accompanied the event.

The exhibition showcases the photo documentation from a part of the renewed facility, it informs about partners of the project and the exhibition of the reconstructed rooms with floors. It will continue to travel to Marchegg, Schlosshof and Devínska Nová Ves.
